Boating Classes

  1. Boating Skills and Seamanship - The 2008 Adult class will start April 21with class dates April 24 ,28 ,May 5 ,8 ,12 and15.
    Classes 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Course will cover Which Boat Is For You, Equipment For Your Boat, Trailering Your Boat, Handling Your Boat, Your' Highway' Signs and Inland Boating and The Rules You Must Follow. Cost $25.00. 
  2.  Boating Basics (DNR) - The 2008 Youth class will start on Tuesday April 8 with class dates of 4/8, 4/10, 4/15, 4/17, 4/22. Classes 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Course will cover Know You Boat, Before You Get Underway, Operating Your Boat Safety, Legal Reg's For Boating, Boating Emergencies, Enjoying Watersports and  DNR Warden -Wisconsin Boating Regulations. Cost $10.00
  3. Coastal Navigation - This class will be held on May 19 demonstrating basic navigational skills using charts,dividers and parallel rulers. This is a hands-on course covering topics such as: Bearings,Headings,Compass Deviation,Dead Reckoning and Determining Position. Cost $ 10.00
  4.         All  classes will be held at Fond Du Lac Yacht Club  705 Mohawk Dr Fond Du Lac,Wi.  Be there 6:30 PM  first night for registration.
